BLYTHEWOOD – It was time to dress up in character and celebrate the children’s author, Roald Dahl, at Blythewood library last Saturday. The children learned how to draw a strange creature via video from illustrator Quentin Blake and take a quiz to decide which Dahl book character they are most like. They made “lickable wallpaper” (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), a giant paper peach (James and the Giant Peach), making and wearing Mr. Twit’s beard and measuring up against a large puzzle of the BFG. Fiona Smith, the organizer, plans to make this an annual event.
Everyone had a “Dahlicious” time!” Smith said.
