Bengal Drill & Rifle teams place 2nd

LUGOFF– On Sept. 30 the Bengal Battalion Drill team, Color Guard and Rifle team competed in the Great Midlands Drill and Rifle League competition at Lugoff-Elgin High School.

The Drill team earned the following placements:

  • 1st, armed platoon commanded – cadet Sergeant Major Seth Miller
  • 1st, armed squad commanded – cadet Sergeant First Class Cameron Smith
  • 2nd, unarmed squad commanded – cadet Staff Sergeant Imari Addison
  • 2nd, color guard commanded – cadet Lieutenant Colonel Jabrone Durant.

The team placed second overall in the competition and two cadets won armed and unarmed knockout, cadet Staff Sergeant Jabriel Bennet and cadet Corporal Ryan Yingling.

The Rifle team finished second overall under the command of cadet second Lieutenant Katelyn Yates, and cadet Sergeant First Class Collin Flores received the honor of having the third highest score in the meet.
