BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood High School Girls’ Golf Team has had a great season. Not only have they have played in various tournaments including the High School Invitational, the Palmetto Preview and the PINK OUT Tournament, they have walked away with top five finishes in each tournament.
Most recently, the Lady Bengals placed second in the 5A Regional Tournament and four team members were named to the All-Region Team. Receiving All-Region honors were Lindsey Hoile , Mady Richards, Parker Stalvey, and Mary Kathryn Talledo. Coach Jason Minkel was named Region Coach of the Year in his first year as the head coach for the girls’ golf team.
Monday, Oct. 16, the team traveled to Florence for the Lower State Tournament where they placed second overall. The Lady Bengals will compete for the 5A State Championship title on Oct. 23 and 24 at Lexington Country Club.
