Eagles host Griffins in 1st meet

WINNSBORO – The Richard Winn Eagles recently hosted their first home cross country meet in school history, and they welcomed none other than the Fairfield Central Griffins for the inaugural competition. Griffins speedster Malik Coleman took home first with a time of 19:32, followed by fellow Griffin Sammy Robertson who clocked a 19:33.6 and Richard Winn’s Hudson Wade finished right on his heels with a 19:33.7 for third place.

Fairfield’s Joshua Mosley, Richard Winn’s Austin Robinson, and Griffins Jordan Boyd, Gabriel Mosley and Jarrod O’Neal filled in the 5-9 spots. Preston Williams came in at the ten-spot for Richard Winn by running a 23:30

Richard Winn’s Hannah Gibbons came in the top spot on the ladies side with a time of 27:06. Fairfield’s Sarah Pullen followed closely behind with a 27:52, and Richard Winn’s Lily Hawkins, Ella Grace Harrison and Jennifer Haney finished things out for the ladies.
