RIDGEWAY – A warm, sunny day shined on the Pig this year, and the crowds showed up early and stayed late as they have in years past to savor the sweet smoke-filled air and a night of dancing in the street during the Friday night fun. And on Saturday, there were big toys, children singing, hog calling, vendors selling and the barbecue was pretty much devoured by 11 a.m. It was everything the Pig on the Ridge founders, Tom Connor, Don Prioleau, Rufus Jones and Henry Dixon were hoping for.
The POTR committee will use the funds brought in by the festival to help those in need in their community as well as fund their firefighters and other worthy civic causes.
