ROCK HILL – The Westwood Redhawks received a superb performance from Russell Jones Jr. Friday night on Senior Night. His 17 points powered Westwood to a 77-34 beat down of the Lancaster Bruins. The momentum must have carried over, because on Tuesday night, they added another win to the column, this time at the expense of the South Pointe Stallions.

Westwood swept the season series against the Stallions with a 62-53 victory. They toppled South Pointe 41-37 in their previous matchup. Jones followed his stellar Lancaster game with another brilliant performance in Rock Hill.

He had 19 points and Tyrell Huff followed closely behind with 18 points. Ta’Jay Dunlap had a solid 10-point performance. The Redhawks finish the regular season Friday on the road against Ridge View.

Westwood is also looking for a season sweep at the Blazers’ expense. They won the first matchup 60-57 back in Jan.
