Blythewood resident awarded research scholarship

Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina Education Foundation of the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) recently awarded a scholarship to Blythewood resident Jamora Hamilton to assist in the continuation of her studies at North Carolina State University (NCSU). Hamilton is a doctoral student studying entomology.


Hamilton is focusing her research on investigating the chemical ecology and behavior of the German cockroach to improve cockroach management strategies. She received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Entomology at Clemson University and was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2016.
