SOARing through History

BLYTHEWOOD – Westwood High School SOAR student Jordin Bell placed first in Senior Individual Website in the South Carolina National History Day contest with her website “Loving vs. Virginia: Changing Interracial Marriage.” Bell will compete in the Natonal contest beginning June 14.

Blythewood High seniors Jakob Lenker and Alan Deogracias placed in the Senior Paper category. Lenker’s paper, titled The Partition of India: “A Graveyard of Destruction and Death,” placed second while Deogracias’s paper, Questionable Neutrality: The Swiss-Nazi Relationship in WWII, placed third.
