PROSPERITY – Blythewood Ladies Golf had a strong showing down the end stretch of the season. The Bengals claimed a region title, all five members of the team earned All-region honors, and then they went on to claim the 5A Upper State title. The team was back at it on Monday and Tuesday as they vied for a State Championship at the Mid-Carolina Country Club. They made a solid second place finish.

The Lady Bengals shot a 332 on the first of the day of the tournament, and that was good enough for second place, but they still trailed the Lexington Wildcats headed into day two. Lexington extended their lead on the last 18 holes and claimed their third straight title with a score of 613. The Bengals finished in second, 17 lower than Boiling Springs, with a total score of 640.

The Lady Bengals shot par on the course 35 times and birdied 7 holes.  Lindsey Hoile was the lowest finisher for the Lady Bengals, shooting 84 on Monday and 74 on Tuesday and finishing 11th in the tournament.  Parker Stalvey finished 14th with a score of 159, and Ella Stalvey finished 16th, shooting 161 in the two-day tournament. Lizzie Madden finished 25th, and Cori Langford followed in 27th place of the 88 golfers.
