EDGEFIELD – Richard Winn’s shooting team competed in the Governor’s Cup Youth Sporting Clay Open on Saturday in Edgefield.
Samantha Wilkes, Meredith Pope and Ansley Parker brought home some hardware. The three-girl team finished third overall in the Senior Girls Division and second in the SCISA Senior Girls division with team totals of 196. Out of 43 shooters, Parker and Pope placed ninth and tenth respectively.
Eagle shooter Carson Stuck shot 86 and finished tenth out of 131 male shooters in the senior varsity division.
The three-man team of Brandon Miller, Jake Clyburn and Sam Clyburn finished in fifth place in Senior Varsity with a score of 249, just eleven points behind first place.
The Eagles compete again March 30 at The Clinton House.
