COLUMBIA – Blythewood and Westwood’s boys track and field teams topped the 15-team meet at Keenan last Friday. Blythewood tallied 98 points for first place and Westwood followed for second with 78. Blythewood girls also topped their field with 124.5 total points. Westwood girls finished in eighth with 33.
Blythewood Results: Alan Deogracias finished the 1500m in first with a time of 4:22:27. Christian Pearson came in third at 4:23:17. Stephen Dauway, Joshua Burrell, Darrius Staples and Chase Ishmael finished fourth in the 4×200 relay. Ishmael, Dauway, Burrell and Kevin Cato had a fourth place finish in the Sprint Medley Relay.
Nick Rogers and Jayden Addison placed first and second in Shot Put. Rogers also topped discus throwers and Connor Knight placed third. Payton Manuel and Randy Kelly finished first and second in high jump. Chad Ishmael placed third in long jump, and Manuel followed in fifth.
Teuana Thomas topped runners in the 100m. Saretha Odom finished in fourth. Jordyn Benson and Ariana Williams finished third and fourth in the 300. Teleah Moorer placed first in the 100m hurdles, followed by Zhaire Casteal in fourth. Moorer finished fourth in 400m hurdles. Odom, Thomas, Kayla Ulmer and Ariana Williams placed second in the Sprint Medley Relay.
Chisom Emetu placed third in shot put. Sharell Cherry finished first in long jump, followed by Briana Green in second. Ulmer placed first in triple jump and Kenia Harrison placed third.
Westwood Results: Christian Horn clocked first in the 300m, followed by Paul McCants in second. Jalen Brigman, Sean Wise, Horn and Pail finished first in the Sprint Medley Relay. Jordan Alexander-Coleman, Robert Johnson, David Nelson and William Tydnall placed first in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 11:34:41.
Westwood’s 4×200 relay team of Wise, Jalen Brigman, Alonzo Conner and Horn finished second. Alexander-Coleman and Tyndall finished the 1500m in fourth and fifth. Riggs Dash placed third in the 400m hurdles. Ronald Coates placed third in Shot Put. Khalil Donald placed fifth in high jump. Alonzo Conner finished fourth in triple jump. Alanie Foster had a second place finish in the 1500. Sierra McCant placed first in high jump.
