BLYTHEWOOD – No one ever really knows if there are 4,000, 5,000 or 6,000 people attending the Blythewood Fireworks bash, but the park is always full and overflowing, and everyone has a good time.
Food trucks edged the rim of the park, LunaTrix from Winnsboro painted faces and other designs, kids played in the park and the bands played on stage from 5 – 11 p.m. After a 20-minute crescendo of fireworks lit the night sky from 9:30 – 10 p.m., the after-show, Ramblin’ Road, made up of Winnsboro, Ridgeway, Elgin and Blythewood musicians took the stage – and it was fun all over again.
“It’s always a great night and great to see everyone come out to the park and have a good time,” Mayor J. Michael Ross said. “Great food, music and fireworks and beautiful weather once the sun goes down.”
