CHAPIN – The Malik duo topped Fairfield runners again over the weekend at the Mike Moore Lake Murray Invitational.
The Griffin boys placed 22nd out of 32 teams, but Malik Beaver and Malik Coleman placed 85th and 86th respectively of the 265 runners, with times of 17:19.49 and 17:19.75. Sammie Robinson followed in 100th place at 17:31.50. Joshua Mosley finished at 18:16.34 and Luke Downs at 18:31.14.
The Griffin girls did not fare as well in the team finish. Nia Lemon led Fairfield runners with a 24:19/39 finish. Trenell Boyd followed at 27:08.48 and Kensley Green at 29:04.14.
