Redhawk boys defeat L-E, Columbia

BLYTHEWOOD – Redhawk cross country stand out Emma Ashley, an eighth grader, picked up where she left off last season. Finishing 12th in the State Championship last season, Ashley finished first in the field in Westwood’s first meet of the season.

Will Tyndall led the boys team to a strong finish as the boys took top honors against Lugoff-Elgin and Columbia in their first event of the year.

The boys and girls teams are set to compete at the Lake Murray Invitational on Sept. 19 at Crooked Creek Park.
