Blythewood High School Competitive Cheer qualified for a spot in 5A State Championship over the weekend at Dorman High School. With a score of 276, Blythewood placed eighth out of 26 teams competing. The top 12 teams advance to the State Championship meet. The State Championship will take place at Florence Center on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. Tickets, available through Ticketmaster, can be purchased at sclsl.org/index.php/competitive-cheer/. The Bengals clinched the Region 4 5-A Championship title earlier in the season over Northwestern, Ridge View, Rock Hill and Spring Valley. Spring Valley also qualified to compete in the State meet.
