COLUMBIA – Barbara Campbell Lomas, 79, of Columbia, widow of Paul Harmon Lomas Sr., died on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born in Greenwood, SC, on September 1, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Bradley Campbell, Sr., and Betty Sanders Campbell.
Survivors include her son, Paul Harmon Lomas, Jr. (Rosanna); daughter, Janis Lomas Moore (David); grandchildren: Brian Wilson (Katelyn), Paul Lomas III, Alex Winters (Laura), Kristin Winters, Nicholas Moore, Kayla Moore; brother, Joseph (Allen) Campbell, Sr. (Martha); sister, Carolyn Campbell Talton (Clifford); brother-in-law, sister-in-law, Mary Lanier (M.L.) Bishop (J.B.) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bradley Campbell, Jr.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lomas was held at 11:00 o’clock on Wednesday, December 30, at Fairlawn United Methodist Church with Rev. John Williams, III officiating. Burial followed the service in Fair Lawn United Methodist church cemetery. The family received friends from 5:00pm until 7:00 o’clock, Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Masks and social distancing were required.
