Bengals’ soccer shuts out Gray Collegiate for season opener win

BLYTHEWOOD – The Bengals hosted Gray Collegiate Academy for their season opener on Tuesday, and they did not disappoint.

Up 2-0 at halftime, Blythewood added a goal in the second to take the 3-0 win over the War Eagles.

Freshman Christian Foster had two goals on the night, and junior Connor Jackson had the third. Sophomore Noah Pougthana and juniors Justin Ellis and KJ Blocker each had an assist.

Senior goalie Jackson Gouvin had two saves in the shutout win.

Blythewood is set to face Dreher on Friday, River Bluff next Tuesday, and Chapin on March 12. All matches are away. They will return home to kick off region play against Northwestern on Feb. 19.
