RIDGEWAY – Jacqueline “Jackie” Branham Collins, 70, of Ridgeway, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Born in Columbia on January 25, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Leslie and Patricia Miles Branham, and the beloved wife of John “Johnny” Clyde Collins. Jackie was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. She was an avid Gamecock fan, and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, browsing on HSN and QVC, and sitting on her porch watching the hummingbirds. She cherished her Cocker Spaniel Gabby, or “Doodlebug” as she was affectionately known. Jackie was a quiet soul, but she loved deeply and loved everyone.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sisters, Cindy Smith (Jimmy) and Linda Branham (Rudy); a brother, Steven Allan Branham (Terry); nieces, Leslie Spradley (Jeoff) and Whitney Carletti (Jason); nephews, Sam and Eric Griffin; great-nieces, Emma and Leighton; a great-nephew, Trent; and sisters-in-law, Tammy Griffin and Cindy Magha.
The family received friends from 5-7pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home. Graveside services were held at 2pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Richard Humphries and Rev. Dean Reynolds.
