Heavy rain and windy conditions didn’t make it easy for Blythewood boys golf to pull off a win at the Region 2-5A golf tournament on Monday, May 3, but they did it.
En route to clinching the region title, three golfers posted the lowest scores of the day. Matthew Hutto was Region Medalist (1st place) Grant Paolucci 2nd place, and Cheney Connell 3rd place.
The win put the Bengals to the Upper State tournament on May 10 in Chester, where they placed third with a score of 307. Paolucci shot 73, Connell 75, and Hutto 75.
Blythewood will compete for a state title May 17-18.
