SPARTANBURG – After being outscored 2-0 in the first half of their SCHSL 5A round 2 playoff game at Dorman High School, Blythewood’s KJ Blocker scored with an assist from Justin Ellis. The Bengals could not put in another and were eliminated from the playoffs with a 2-1 final.
Senior Jackson Gouvin had five saves. Minor Moran had two saves in five minutes of play.
Blythewood finishes the season with a 12-6 overall record and a 6-2 region record.
Gouvin, Ellis, Blocker, Terry Watson, Wil Monroe, Connor Jackson and Ryan Hart were named All-Region. Watson also earned 5A All-State honors.
