Fairfield track and field to compete in five events at State

SENECA – Fairfield Central Track and Field took to Seneca on Saturday for the Upper State Championships.  Three Griffins and the 4×100 relay team finished in the top four, qualifying them to compete for state titles May 21-22.

Sharmelle Holmes was the Griffins’ highest finisher on the day, pulling second place in both the 100m dash and 200m dash at 12.6 and 25.93. Tamerra English placed third in javelin at 82-11, her personal best, and Joshua Mosley finished third in the 3200m run finals with a 10:12.53 time. English, Holmes, Natalia Gray and Anaya Peay placed third in the 4×100 relay.
