Senior vouchers available for Farmer’s Market purchases

FAIRFIELD COUNTY – If you are 60 or older, have a valid drivers’ license or state issued ID, have a low income and live in Fairfield County, you may qualify to receive $25 worth of coupons to buy fresh fruits and vegetables this summer through the Fairfield Farmer’s Market or other certified Fairfield County farmer’s markets.

To apply, visit dss.sc.gov by end of day, Monday, May 31.

Click on ‘Assistance Programs,” then ‘Food and Nutrition Programs,’ then choose ‘Senior Farmers Market.

Complete the application and keep the confirmation number given to you. You will be notified via email of approval or denial.
