WINNSBORO – Deck Wilson Sr., 80, of Winnsboro passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Born in Dawkins, SC, he was the son of the late Robert and Mattie Wilson.
He is survived by his son, Deck Wilson, Jr.; daughter, Vicki Carter (Dickie); granddaughter Blake Carter; Frances and Taylor Hazewinkel; brother, JP Wilson; and sister, Jeroline Parker.
In addition to his parents, Deck is predeceased by his son Bobby Wilson; four brothers, David, George, Robert, and Olin Wilson; and three sisters, Jessie Cota, Willie Mae Branham, and Nellie Goodman.
He retired from Fairfield Electric Cooperative and was a friend to many in his home town of Winnsboro.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on at 11 o’clock AM Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Winnsboro. The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Deck’s memory to Washington Street Baptist Church, 401 N. Vanderhorst Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180, or to a charity of one’s choice.
