Community input session set for Sept. 23

BLYTHEWOOD – A public input session regarding the town’s comprehensive plan for the next 10 years will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Doko Manor.

The comprehensive plan is used to guide growth, zoning, inform decision-making, measure accomplishments, address citizen needs and more.

Residents and business owners are invited to the meeting to hear a short presentation beginning at 6:15 p.m., with public input to follow. There will be easels stationed around the room providing maps and other information for those attending.

Gregory Sprouse of Central Midlands Council of Governments (COG) will make the presentation and answer question afterwards. Members of the Blythewood Planning Commission will be on hand to help answer questions as well.

“Come out, be informed and let your voice be heard at the public input session,” Sprouse said.

The event will be catered by Lizard’s Thicket.

Doko Manor is located at 100 Alvina Hagood Circle.  For more information, call town hall at 803-754-0501.
