Sheriff offers free food, fun and pet vaccinations

WINNSBORO – The Sheriff’s office is hosting an event at Drawdy Park this Saturday that will include more than fun, fellowship and food. It will also offer free rabies vaccines and a bag of cat or dog food for those pets who receive vaccines.

“We’re inviting everyone to join us and bring your pets for free rabies shots,” Sheriff Will Montgomery said. “Hoof and Paw will be providing the animal shelter with several truckloads of free pet food for pets getting vaccinations.

“We’ll have free hot dogs, drinks, games, presentations by the Fairfield County Rescue Squad, EMS, Fire Department, Highway Patrol and SLED,” he said.

Fairfield Medical Associates will offer blood pressure checks and COVID vaccines.

Bounce Houses will be provided by LOVE Never Fails, and Fairfield County recreation will be on hand to coordinate games for all ages.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Drawdy Park.
