BLYTHEWOOD – Capping an undefeated season with a 4-2 win over Spring Valley on Oct. 14, the Bengals tallied their fourth Region Championship in as many years and earned a top seed in the Class 5A South Carolina High School League State tournament.
Blythewood is set to face off with Nation Ford High School, a four-seed, on Oct. 21 in Blythewood. The winner will advance to face the winner of #2 Riverside/#3 TL Hanna on Oct 26.
In 2020, Blythewood, also earned a 1-seed but fell to JL Mann 4-2 in the first round of the state playoffs.
