BLYTHEWOOD – Winston, the Ridgeway greyhound who won an unprecedented three consecutive national championships for amateur oval track racing in North America before he retired, stopped by the semi-annual Heartworm clinic at SPAWS Doggie Daycare and Grooming in Blythewood with owner Randy Bright on Saturday to have his nails trimmed. Casey O’Rorke who is Winston’ groomer at SPAWS, came out to greet him.
Also on hand for heartworm checks were these two pups, Blue and Cody with their owners Chris and Sarah Bland.
