Blythewood Christmas parade set for Sunday

BLYTHEWOOD – The 25th annual Blythewood Christmas Parade is the last of the area parades, and is set to start at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12. This year’s parade theme is, “Back to our Roots.”

The parade will travel from Main Street where it intersects with Oakhurst Street to Blythewood Road where it will turn right onto Boney Road.

More than a hundred entries are expected to participate with thousands in attendance.

This year the parade is being organized by the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce.

Proceeds from entry fees will go to local charities and the chamber’s annual scholarship fund benefiting high school seniors at both Blythewood High Schools as well as Blythewood students and the children of Blythewood Chamber members who attend high schools outside of Blythewood.
