Geneva Bell celebrates 105 years

FAIRFIELD COUNTY – Mrs. Geneva Bell celebrated her 105th Birthday on February 21, 2022 at home with her family and friends.  Mrs. Bell is a native of Fairfield County, who faithfully attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Longtown, SC. before the pandemic.

Mrs. Bell often talks about her love for God, according to her family members. She reads her bible daily and tells her children and grandchildren how far the Lord has brought her throughout her life. According to one of her daughters, lately, she’s been singing, “This Little Light of Mine.” One of her favorite scriptures is: Philippians 4: 13 “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” 

She has witnessed an African American President being in the White House and traveled with her children to many places in the world.

Mrs. Bell has nine living children (of 12 born to her and her late husband George Sr.); 52 grandchildren; 95 great grands, 68 great-great grands, 9 great-great-great grands. 

She says her faith in God and her love for her family has kept her going.
