This is the response to the county audit and other issues regarding Fairfield County. If one looks back over the last year of your publication you will notice that Fairfield County had tremendous turnover (head of the county down to hourly positions), the annual budget was cut including cuts to department personnel, and no raises were given while inflation is currently over 7% leaving county employees to do more with less while pet projects are fully funded. But as my granddaughter says, “that’s none of my business”. Council is instead blaming an overworked county employee who is doing the best he/she can with the little resources provided. Stop.
