Spring Break provides region respite for WHS soccer

BLYTHEWOOD – The Redhawks (3-8, 1-5) will jump right into region play after a well-timed Spring Break. The Redhawks traveled to Lugoff-Elgin (2-8, 1-4) on Tuesday night, but scores were not available at press time.  On Thursday, the Redhawks will host a strong Dreher squad (7-4-1, 6-0), looking to improve on their impressive outing in their first contest.

During the final week of April, the Redhawks will battle at Irmo (6-9-1, 3-2) before closing their season by hosting Richland Northeast (2-12, 1-6) for Senior Night, followed by a final Friday night game against Fairfield Central on April 29.

A playoff slot is on the line over this five-game stretch. Coach Pederson and the Redhawks welcome all fans to join in the push for the postseason. Up first: be at the Castle tonight to watch the Redhawks and the Blue Devils at 6 p.m.
