COLUMBIA – The City of Columbia Animal Services will participate in PickMe!SC, a free pet adoption event, through Saturday, July 16. To see available pets, visit petfinder.com/animal-shelters-and-rescues and enter “City of Columbia Animal Services.”
The program, which began on July 8, has produced great adoption results for the shelter. On July 9, they posted on Facebook that “This year’s Pick me SC! event is off to a great start with over 20 dog and 8 cat adoptions thus far.”
On July 11, they posted an update: “44 adoptions so far! That’s amazing and we want to keep it going. Come down to CAS and meet your new best friend.”
The shelter, which is located near Williams-Brice stadium, is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
