Gail W. Douglas of Winnsboro passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Columbia, SC. Born January 21, 1949 in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Elizabeth “Lib” Brazzell Walters.
Gail graduated from Winnsboro High School and was a retired seamstress and restaurant employee. She was a member of Washington Street Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting, fishing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include son Kevin B. Douglas of Lexington and grandchildren Kevin B. Douglas, Jr and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Douglas of Pelion, sisters Myra Walters of Walterboro, SC and Karen W. Bedenbaugh of Lexington, SC and brother Boyce “Rudy” Walters (Carolyn) of Winnsboro and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bernie L. Douglas and son Rodney L. Douglas, sisters Patty L. Walters and Debra W. Stanberry and brother Vernon R. Walters and close friend Glendale Sanders.
A memorial service will be held July 16, 2022 at Washington Street Baptist Church at 1:00pm. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service at the church.
