GREENBRIER – Drashti Patel, a student at Fairfield Central High School, and Travis Bonds, a student at Richard Winn Academy, were chosen to represent their respective schools at Monday’s Discovery Flights.
In an effort to promote aviation among the county’s youth, S&S Aviation, a flight school at the Fairfield County Airport, invited students from each school to fly in 45-minute flights over Lake Murray, Williams-Brice Stadium and back to Fairfield County. Once the plane was airborne, the students, each in separate planes, were allowed to take over the controls under the supervision of their flight instructors.
