WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central rebounded from their loss to Gray Collegiate Academy with a 60-12 stunning of Columbia last Friday.
The region win upgrades Fairfield Central to 5-3 on the season, putting them in second in Region 4-AA.
The Griffins host Eau Claire this Friday for their Homecoming game. Eau Claire comes to Winnsboro with a winless record. Most recently, were shut out by Keenan 62-0.
Next week, Fairfield will host Newberry for their final regular season game.
This Friday’s homecoming festivities will kick off with a parade down Congress St. at 5 p.m., followed by the alumni tailgate at the Griffins’ baseball field.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 at EK McLendon Stadium.
