BW Artists Guild shares holiday spirit with animal shelter

BLYTHEWOOD – When the Blythewood Artists Guild opens the doors for its Holiday Market at the Manor this weekend, the vendors will be offering more than handmade Christmas decor, jewelry, candles, fashion accessories and holiday gifts. It will also offer the opportunity to donate much needed supplies for dogs and cats housed in the Fairfield County Animal shelter and the Animal Mission in Columbia.

With financial cutbacks at the shelters and the increased number of animals taken in during winter months, both shelters are in dire need of supplies.

Shelter supplies needed:

  • Paper towels
  • Dog/cat collars
  • Bleach
  • Milk Bone biscuits
  • Dawn dish soap
  • Dry dog/cat food
  • Canned wet dog food
  • Canned wet kitten food
  • Peanut butter
  • Dog/cat toys
  • Towels/blankets
  • Puppy potty pads

If unable to attend the Holiday Market, donations can be dropped off at these two locations: Fairfield County Animal Control (1678 U.S. HWY 321 Business N, Winnsboro, SC 29130) or The Voice of Blythewood (303 Main Street, Blythewood, SC 29016)
