Naomi Waden celebrated 101 years with a party at Doko Manor.
Naomi is a founding member of Sandfield Road Calvary Baptist Church in Blythewood and serves as the Mother of the Church. She is also active in the Blythewood Ladies Club of which she is also a founding member. In good health, Waden does not take medication and is well known for her sense of humor and interest in what’s going on in the community.
Naomi has 17 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Standing behind Naomi are her kids, Reed, Elaine, Samuel, Mozell and Mildred. Seated beside her is her sister, Mattie Lois Squirewell.
