Bengals split with Clover

BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood boys basketball team (17-8, 6-3) fell 74-62 at Clover Friday night, but upended Rock Hill (16-7, 6-3) 46-35 Tuesday night. The win puts the Bengals and the Bearcats tied for first place behind Region 3-5A leader Fort Mill (7-2).

Will Olden led the way with 13 points.

The freshman girls of Blythewood rang up a banner day Friday at Clover.

Chase Thomas sank 5 3-pointers and scored 33 points, India Williams had three 3-pointers and 17 points, and Hayley Hightower put up 10 points as the Blythewood girls defeated the Blue Eagles 64-56 Friday. 

The Bengals wind up region play at Spring Valley Friday.
