Gamecocks to host SEC equestrian championships in BW March 24-25

BLYTHEWOOD – The South Carolina Equestrian program is set to host the 2023 SEC Equestrian Championship, March 24-25 at One Wood Farm in Blythewood.

The Gamecocks will host Auburn, Georgia and Texas A&M for the meet.

The semifinals on Friday, March 24 will begin at 9 a.m., when the #4 ranked Gamecocks take on the #1 Tigers of Auburn. The second semifinal will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. between the second-ranked Aggies and #3 Bulldogs.

The Consolation (9 a.m.) and Championship (2:30 p.m.) rounds will take place on Saturday, March 24.

This is a free event; gates will open 90 minutes prior to the start of competition. Free parking with shuttle service to One Wood Farm will be available at Sandy Level Baptist Church.

Following their weekend of SEC Championships, Gamecock Equestrian will host Equi FanFest on Saturday, April 1 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be a bounce house, pony rides, paint the pony and a team meet and greet. This event is free and open to everyone.
