Palmetto Pride’s Sarah Lyles presented Fairfield County Public Works Director Jonathan Burroughs with a $25,000 Litter Crew Grant. The grant will fund the cost of a crew to pick up litter along county roads on most Saturdays throughout the year.
This is the second year the Public Works Department has received the grant.
According to Lyles, Fairfield County Public Works is used as an example of an exemplary litter control program.
