BHS softball ends season in dist. championship

LEXINGTON – The Blythewood softball team reached the championship game in the District 4 tournament, but Lexington showed the Bengals why the Wildcats are one of the top teams in the state.

Lexington (23-3-1) eliminated Blythewood 15-0 in three innings May 10.

Kylie Sanders got Blythewood’s only hit on the afternoon.

Lexington moved on to the upper state tournament, where the Wildcats beat Dorman 5-2, lost 10-0 to James F. Byrnes, and played Dorman again Wednesday. 

Blythewood finishes the season 16-8.
