It is with great sadness that the family announce that Gale Taylor Lever, 83, of Winnsboro passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Archie Lee and Corrie Lee Jones Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Lever Caudill (Charles) of Blythewood, Gladys Dianne Lever of Winnsboro, and Robin Lever Donaldson (Tim) of Monroe, N.C.; sister, Sylvia Taylor Beckham of Winnsboro; four grandchildren, Carrol Robert Caudill (Rebecca), Daniel Lee Donaldson, Christine Florence Caudill; one great granddaughter, Sarah Anne Caudill, and “adopted grandson” Porter K. Slice.
In addition to her parents, Gale is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Edward Robert Lever; and an infant son.
Gale was a wonderful mama and grandmama to not only her family, but also to many others throughout her life. She cherished being with family and friends as much as possible and always had her camera out to capture the moments. She made sure birthdays, holidays, and Sunday dinners were special and plentiful for everyone.
Funeral services were at 11:00 am Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Crooked Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-7:00 pm on Friday evening at Pope Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Tim Donaldson, Charles Caudill, CR Caudill, Daniel Donaldson, Chrissy Caudill, and Porter Slice.
