Do you have parking ticket late fees from the City of Columbia?

COLUMBIA – The city of Columbia is forgiving parking ticket late fees, but the amnesty will only last through the month of July. And only if the original ticket is being paid in full.

The forgiveness applies to any person with a traffic citation that was issued in the City of Columbia between 30 days and three years old. To receive the one-time forgiveness, visit the Columbia Parking Services office at 820 Washington St. between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday during the month of July. Provide either the citation or the vehicle plate number and pay for the ticket.

Online payments are not eligible.

This is a good time to get those tickets paid. Not only will late charges be forgiven, but the City is planning to start sending unpaid tickets to collections and will also put an immobilizing device called a barnacle on vehicles that have at least three tickets totaling $100 or more.
