AIKEN – Fairfield Central’s boys basketball team picked up their first win of the early season on Monday at South Aiken. The non-conference bout ended with a 48-41 final in favor of the Griffins.
The win came on the heels of a tight loss against Newberry on Thursday, Dec. 7, when the Griffins fell by a six point margin with a 51-45 final.
Fairfield will travel up Hwy 321 for Friday night games against Chester. Girls are set to tip off at 6:30 p.m. and the boys will follow.
