Fairfield Electric line workers participate in Lineman’s Rodeo

MONCKS CORNER – Several Fairfield Electric line workers participated in the fourth annual South Carolina Lineman’s Rodeo that took place March 15-16 at Berkeley Electric Cooperative in Moncks Corner.  Fisher Horton, Collin Garguilo, Quenton Baker, Xan Johnson, Dustin Duggins, Alex Catledge (from the Blythewood office) and Josh Reap and Tyler Fleming (from the Winnsboro office) represented Fairfield Electric Co-op.

The Lineman’s Rodeo is open to all electric cooperative linemen currently working for one of the 18 South Carolina based cooperatives that are members of the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, Inc.

The two-day event consisted of competitions such as the OH Transformer Changeout, Pad-Mount Transformer Changeout, Equipotential Zone Grounding, and Streetlight Replacement.  There were also written tests.
