SOCIETY HILL – Richard Winn Academy’s shooting team will compete for another SCISA state title on Saturday. A win would be their fourth in as many years.

Eagle shooters JT Wilkes, Aaron Geddens, and Charlie Bonds claimed their first state title in the 2023 season and look for a repeat. They finished as SCISA 1A Runner Up in the 2022 season.

They finished first place in the Senior 1st Year Division at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays on March 23. They combined to shoot 280 in the March competition, narrowly beating Lewisville’s 279. Bonds hit 95, Wilkes shot 93, and Geddens shot 92 clays

Senior Ella Grace Harrison and sophomore Abby Lewis also seek their second state title. They claimed the SCISA trophy in 2022 with then-teammate Mikaela Miller. This season, they’ve teamed with Lexi Coley.

The three-girl squad finished second place in the Ladies Senior Varsity division on March 10 at the SCDNR Governor’s Cup.
