WINNSBORO – The Fairfield County Council on Aging celebrated National Senior Citizens Week with the Sensational Seniors Expo at the Armory.
Sponsored by FCCOA, Two Men and a Grill and the Prime Tyme Ryders, the event was attended by three hundred seniors and 40 vendors offering resources on health care, legal services, insurance and government help, the Fairfield Farmers and Artisans Market and more.
Two Men and a Grill (Darreyl Davis and Joe Seibles) served up plates of barbecue chicken, fish, hot dogs and hamburgers and all the trimmings.
The Prime Tyme Riders delivered guests to the door in golf carts.
Emceed by former Ridgeway longtime councilman Donald Prioleau, the event entertainment included musicians, singers, and dancers from Fairfield County School District.
It was a big day for the community’s seniors, made possible by FCCOA and many volunteers and donations.
