Letter: Here Weed, There Weed, Everywhere Weed

I realize that marijuana is becoming more and more used all over the country.

Every time I go uptown in Blythewood, whether it’s to the grocery store or to fill up my vehicle with gas, all I smell is weed burning.

The smell of marijuana is in the air, and most of the time it’s strong.

If someone wants to smoke weed, that’s on them. I don’t use it, and I really don’t want to smell it when I go uptown. Can the sheriff’s deputies do something to curb this trend?

What others do is their business, but don’t force me to smell your weed when I come into town for food or fuel or up to Doko Park fishing. Sometimes, the town smells like a pot farm.

What’s the deal?

Here lately, I’ve even seen people sitting in parking lots smoking it. Isn’t that still illegal here in SC?

I can’t believe that I’m the only one in the town of Blythewood that feels this way!
