BLYTHEWOOD – The Town of Blythewood has hired Jennifer Edwards of Ridgeway to serve as the human resources and finance director for the Town effective Monday, June 30. Edwards previously managed employee relations issues for the Town of Winnsboro, where she’s worked since 2017.
Prior to that, Edwards has worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for companies in the Ridgeway area since 2007.
She replaces Julie Emory who has worked as the bookkeeper and office manager at town hall since 2012. Emory will be retiring the end of July.
“During July they will be working together some, and before and after Julie leaves, I want to have some cross training,” Interim Administrator Ed Driggers said. “We want to be able to have our new director to be acclimated and hit the ground running, and have that hands on training.
“I’m looking forward to working at the Blythewood Town Hall,” Edwards told The Voice. “I enjoy my work and like to keep things in order. I’m eager to get started.”
