WINNSBORO – SCDA Market Development Director Fred West presented Fairfield Farmers and Artisans Market Manager Jamie Vaine the official proclamation for National Farmers Market Week signed by Governor McMaster last week during last week’s market.
The market hosted a “Lunch at the Market” event where seniors in the community could enjoy lunch, shop local produce, and gather with their community.
“It is efforts like these that show the true benefit that farmers markets bring to their communities,” said West.
“We hope that everyone has enjoyed celebrating National Farmers Market Week here in South Carolina,” West said. “We will be highlighting different events that went on this week over the next few weeks, please stay tuned to see all of the great celebrations going on around our state in support and honor of our local farmers markets!”
